The Irish Famine Way is a 32-county online resource, dedicated to assisting residents and inbound tourists to discover, learn about, and explore the Great Irish Famine, also referred to in Ireland as the Great Famine, the Great Hunger, or as gailege 'An Gorta Mór'.
We welcome you to explore one of the defining chapters in Ireland's history, one that shaped the country of Ireland that we see today, and also helped to develop what are known as the Irish diaspora countries; America, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia.
